Half a million US Dollars has been donated by a Brazilian graduate of George Washington University, USA to its School of Foreign Relations. The contribution is anonymous so nothing about the donor except his/her nationality is known.
The purpose of the donation is to help fund the so-called ‘Brazil Initiative’ of the university’s School of Foreign Relations. The various courses will be aimed at exploring a wide range of themes connected to Brazil’s history, geography and culture. The new centre will be very much at the heart of the US capital and sited very near the State Department, the World Bank and the IMF.
